Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2 May Include Metal Gear Solid 4, Peace Walker
A Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2 may include the PlayStation 3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots alongside other titles, judging from some recent findings.
Following the announcement of the first volume of the collection yesterday, Konami updated its official website with a pre-order page showcasing some additional extras. Among them is the manual for Metal Gear Solid, which features a screenshot from the fourth entry in the series, which won’t be included in the collection, as reported on the ResetERA forums.
Additionally, as spotted by Nitroid on Twitter, the new series’ website added clickable buttons to the timeline for all the games included in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1, with some placeholder buttons for Metal Gear Solid 4, Peace Walker and The Phantom Pain, suggesting some of these titles, if not all of them, may make it into the second volume of the collection.
The new Metal Gear Solid website added buttons to the timeline for the games in Master Collection Vol. 1, but if you inspect the page, there are placeholder buttons for MGS4, Peace Walker, and MGSV as well.

As Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is only available on PlayStation 3, its inclusion in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2 would be big, finally allowing players on other platforms to experience the game that brings a close to the story of both Big Boss and Solid Snake. The inclusion of Peace Walker would be good as well since it sets the stage for the fifth and final main entry in the series, which may also get updated for current generation consoles if included in the unannounced second volume of the collection.
The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 launches on October 24th on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch worldwide.
