Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Full Water Temple guide– Fans wowed by new dungeon
DUNGEONS are back, and as always, they are some of the harder parts of the game.
The temples in Tears of the Kingdom will remind you more of traditional Zelda games compared to the Divine Beasts of Breath of the Wild.
They come complete with difficult puzzles, collectibles and a difficult boss fight at the end.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Water Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Water Temple: Four faucets
Once you enter the temple and activate the terminal, you will learn that there are four water faucets you need to open.
This will wash away all of the sludge that is plaguing Zora’s Domain, and help out the tribe.
Here is the easiest order to complete this in.
First faucet
If you head southwest you will see some floating pieces that used to be a walkway. Climb these to face some enemies.
On the northwest corner of the platform up here, you will find a water orb generator covered in sludge.
Sidon can help you out here, using his water attack in order to clear it.
This allows you to grab the large puzzle orb that’s floating in the water. Place it in a water orb to send it up to the next area.
You then need to drain the pool. You can do this by opening the water gate on the east side of the platform.
Attack a nearby Zonai platform and power it to keep the gate open.
Second faucet
For the second tap you’ll need to get onto the platforms on the far east side of the temple.
There are two taps here which you can reach either by paragliding from the entrance, or by using some water orbs.
Clear the enemies out here, and head to the northern platform. Climb a wall to paraglide over to it.
To power this area, you will need to turn the water wheel next to the waterfall.
You can do this by attaching two stone slabs to it in order to get it turning.
Follow the electric connection this starts to find the wall it stops at. Then use Ultrahand to drag a water orb into the gap to open the gate to the faucet.
Third faucet
You can use the waterfall here to get back up to the previous island you were on.
To drain the water here and gain access to the third tap, you will need to hit a stone located within a spinning case.
There is a hole in the case, and it is possible to nail it with a well-timed arrow. It might not look like it but it is.
The easiest way to get a good angle is to use a floating platform.
Fourth faucet
For the final faucet you will need to head back to the centre of the temple, and then climb down to the west side where you will find stairs going down.
The front door is covered in flames, but you can use a floating platform to block the flames and walk under. You can even use Ultrahand to reach inside and pull one out.
Once inside, there is a small puzzle orb on the far side of the room behind some spikes.
You can paraglide over to it, and throw it back over the spikes.
Use a floating platform to climb the wall and then grab the orb from there.
The slot for the orb is on the wall, and you can hold the orb in place and then use Recall to open the gate.
You can also attach the orb to a floating platform that will hold it into the wall.
This will open up the gate for the fourth and final faucet.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Water Temple: Mucktorok boss fight
Luckily, Mucktorok isn’t too tough to take down, and you can take it out with a number of water attacks.
You can use a Zonai Hydrant for this, or you can rely on Sidon to land hits.
Once Mucktorok is hit with water, a smaller, weaker enemy will be revealed.
Use Sidon’s water to clear the field of sludge and attack Mucktorok as often as possible.
This fight isn’t too difficult if you have enough food in your pocket to keep you healthy.
Once the weaker enemy starts to move quickly you’ll need to shoot it with your arrows to keep up.
This will complete the Water Temple and net you your heart container as a reward.
