Zara Tindall is ‘a very different version’ of Princess Anne – expert

Body language expert Judi James analysed Zara Tindall and Princess Anne’s relationship and non-verbal communication when they are seen together and opined that mother and daughter are “intense sharers” with their “matching traits of professionalism and their intense passion for horses”.

Princess Anne and Zara have always shared a love and passion for horses with both being Olympic equestrians.

Judi commented that the competitive spirits that “powered them both to Olympic glory” and their sense of “what looks like doubled-up fun” is a “constant aspect of Zara’s personality but less obvious in Anne until she is seen in her daughter’s company”.

According to the expert, “mutual respect” can also be observed every time they are together.

However, Judi opined that Zara Tindall is a very different person in terms of PDA and affection poses but suggested that Anne could have been the same in private with her family.

Princess Anne “has never been a lover of the PDA, posing in a more traditional, hands-off way with two husbands and her own children”.

Her daughter Zara, on the other hand, is “a wonderfully tactile and openly affectionate woman” which suggests there might have been “a very different version of her mother away from the cameras”.

Princess Anne is only seen as “playful, doting and affectionate” with her grandchildren, “joining in games with an enthusiasm that makes her look like a child herself”.

In interviews, Zara always talks about Princess Anne “with a sense of awe as well as humour and affection”.

The body language guru opined that “it’s clear Anne is proud of the daughter who has led the kind of life that Anne herself might have seen as ideal had she not taken on all her royal duties”.

Body language expert Bruce Durham, also known as Believing Bruce, shared his thoughts after having seen mother and daughter at equestrian events for years.

He opined that “although subtle, there are some really powerful body language clues at play here that give a deeper meaning to the relationship between Princess Anne and Zara Tindall”.

Bruce claimed that mother and daughter tend to “mirror each other”, something he spotted in many photographs from official engagements.

Princess Anne, the late Queen Elizabeth’s second child, had two children with Captain Mark Phillips: Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall.

Zara is married to former rugby player Mike Tindall and has three children: Mia, Lucas and Lena, who are mostly kept out of the spotlight.

Zara Tindall and her brother don’t have royal titles because the royal rules dictated that only the father may pass on his title and Captain Mark Phillips, who was not a royal, declined the offer of an earldom.

Princess Anne spoke about her decision not to give their children titles saying: “I think most people would argue that there are downsides to having titles… So I think that was probably the right thing to do,” she told Vanity Fair.
