Zahle Team victorious in Dubai’s 2023 Lebanese Expats Basketball Championship – Sport360 News
Zahle and Byblos competed for the second consecutive year in the final game of the tournament, organised by Sports Mania UAE and under the supervision of Dubai Sports Council and UAE Basketball Federation.
In a thrilling game hosted at Al Champs Sports Club – Al Quoz, both teams showed great basketball level, high team spirit & sportsmanship. Team Zahle managed to grab the win with a final score 89 – 81.
The champions won 12,000 AED cash prize.
At the end of the game individual & team awards were distributed in the presence of CEO Bachir Ice Cream Mr. Alexander Bachir, as follows:
- Final Game MVP: Hassan Dandash from Zahle Team
- Best Scorer: Tarek Kharsan from Beirut Team
- Best 3 points shooter: Tyre Player Walid Zeidan
- Best Stealer: Johnny Nemer from Beirut Team
- Best Assist: Andrew Savaya from Tyre Team
- Best Rebounder: Robert Bou Dagher from Saida Team
- Best Shot Blocker: Will Bechara from Byblos Team
- Best Team Spirit: Jounieh Team Handed to Louis Tarabay
- Best Leadership: Gerard Najem from Baalbeck Team
- Best Fair Play: Team Tripoli handed to Nassim Habib
- Best Coach: Robert Bou Dagher, Byblos Coach
- Championship MVP: Michel Hakim from Zahle Team
