Young Rock Canceled After Three Seasons

NBC has canceled Young Rock after three seasons. Reported by THR, the sitcom was canceled alongside fellow sitcom Grand Crew. The network has not made a decision about American Auto, but has put in a series order for St. Denis Medical, a mockumentary starring The Goldbergs’ Wendi McClendon-Covey.

Young Rock starred Dwyane Johnson, and it focused on multiple era’s of The Rock’s life. The show was centered around Johnson’s presidential campaign in 2032, as he reflected on multiple eras of his life: Childhood in Hawaii, high school in Pennsylvania, and his college football career in Miami. The third season ended with Johnson’s Hollywood career kicking off.

After premiering in 2021, Young Rock ran 37 episodes across its three seasons. The three Young Rocks were played by Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, and Uli Latukefu. The show also featured a ton of wrestler cameos across the series.

Even though Young Rock is over, Dwyane Johnson fans still have a lot to look forward to. Johnson will star in a live-action remake of Moana, and we’re just days removed from the announcement that The Rock is finally returning to the Fast and Furious universe.
