‘You have seriously lost the plot!’ Kaye Adams swipes at Piers Morgan over Olympic tweets

Piers Morgan recently hit out about the Olympics 2020, claiming “nobody cares” about the “covid-ravaged” event, which is currently underway in Tokyo. He added he “felt sorry” for the athletes and suggested the long-awaited ceremony should have been postponed or cancelled.

The Good Morning Britain presenter went on to clash with the likes of Gary Lineker and Dan Walker following a series of tweets.

Gary said of Piers’ first tweet: “You’re wrong on this one. It’s exhilarating, uplifting and inspiring. Exactly what’s needed in these most depressing of times.”

The journalist caused further controversy as he went on to say “if you don’t win Gold, you’ve lost”.

In another tweet, he added: “I don’t think silver and bronze medals are shameful, but no real champion would ever feel comfortable having one in their trophy cabinet.”

She wrote: “I feel pretty comfortable with my bronze medal thank you very much. “Winning” means different things to different people!”

He replied: “Winning means coming 1st, not 3rd…. get out of your comfort zone Meagan!”

Brian McFadden chimed in: “I had dinner at a multi gold medal winners house before.

“They’ll remain unnamed. They won multiple gold medals and a bronze. They had all the golds on display but the bronze was in a drawer.”
