We all need a little pick me up on a Monday, and thankfully, McDonald’s are here to help.

For just today only, everybody’s favourite fast food restaurant is slashing the price of it’s Quarter Pounder with Cheese by less than half, to £1.49.

That’s down from the usual price of £4.49, which is quite the saving.

Why have a wet salad for lunch, when you can have a Maccies?

Early bird fans of the beloved golden arches will also have noticed that the iconic Double McMuffin was also available this morning for just £1.99, down from £3.49.

Sadly, much to our continued dissapointment, the glorious McDonald’s breakfast is only sold until 11am.

All the deals are available to customers exclusively on the McDonald’s App, where you can also start earning points on all your orders.

And what do points mean? Prizes, of course (well, sort of).

When you hit 1,500 points, you can nab yourself a freebie, choosing from menu items including small fries or a regular drink.

But if you reaching the dizzying hits of 5,500 points, you could get yourself a free McSpicy, or a McCripsy, amongst other options.

The latest deal comes shortly after McDonald’s launched six new menu items.

There’s a new McCrispy Deluxe, BBQ Quarter Pounder Cheese and BBQ Double Quarter Pounder Cheese, in terms of burgers.

To go on the side, there’s Cheesy Garlic Bites, Galaxy Salted Caramel McFlurry and Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry.
