Xiaomi TV Stick 4K with built-in Chromecast launched in India, priced at Rs 4,999 – Times of India

Xiaomi has launched its new streaming stick — Xiaomi TV Stick 4K in India. The streaming device comes with Dolby Vision support and built-in Chromecast. The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K bundles Mi Remote and Assistant button for easy voice search. This is Xiaomi’s third streaming device launched in India.

Xiaomi TV Stick 4K is priced at Rs 4,999 and will be available online on mi.com website starting February 20.
Xiaomi TV Stick 4K features
Xiaomi TV Stick 4K is powered by a quad-core Cortex A35 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The device offers 8GB of internal storage and it offers 4K video output via HDMI.
As mentioned above the streaming device has Dolby Vision support. The new TV stick from Xiaomi runs Android TV 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of PatchWall.

The device comes with built-in Chromecast functionality with Google Assistant hotkey. Along with this,the Mi Remote also features shortcut keys for Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar.
Xiaomi TV Stick 4K vs Mi TV Stick
This is not the first TV Stick launched by Xiaomi. In 2021 the company launched the Mi TV Stick which is selling at Rs 2,999. The Mi TV Stick also comes with built-in Chromecast and Mi Remote with short cut keys for Netflix and Prime Video. The Mi TV Stick supports 1080p resolution while the new Xiaomi TV 4K comes with 4K resolution support.
Xiaomi 13 Pro India launch
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is also gearing up for the launch of its flagship smartphone Xiaomi 13 Pro in India. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is launching on February 26 in India and other markets, two months after its launch in China.
Xiaomi will be taking the stage at MWC to introduce the Xiaomi 13 Pro, and the launch is set to begin at 9:30 PM IST. The event will be live-streamed on Xiaomi’s official website and social media channels. There is no word on if Xiaomi plans to launch the vanilla model of the series, the Xiaomi 13, in India.
Xiaomi 13 series is the company’s second smartphone series that has been co-engineered with Leica. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer partnered with the camera maker Leica back in 2022, starting with the Xiaomi 12S series. However, the Xiaomi 12S series never made it out of China.
