Xbox Will Be At Gamescom 2022 To Showcase Previously Announced Games

Xbox will return to the Gamescom 2022 show floor next month, providing more information on the games coming out in the next 12 months.

Earlier today, a tweet by Xbox DACH, the official German branch of Xbox on Twitter, revealed that the company will present at Cologne’s Gamescom 2022 festival.

Aside from providing updates on the already announced games that would be coming out in the next 12 months, Xbox will also be on the show floor, giving the Xbox community the chance to hang out with each other and some of the developers, of course.

The announcement is yet to be shared with the official global account of Xbox on Twitter, but you can rest assured that new trailers will be coming out from upcoming games to Xbox and PC later in August.

It’s yet to be seen whether the new trailers will be shown at the Opening Night Live showcase led by Geoff Keighley or Xbox would have its own show, but we will surely get more details as we get closer to the beginning of the expo at Germany.

Gamescom 2022 officially begins on August 24 with a live opening showcase, premiering games from various publishers and developers. The full list of companies presenting their titles at Gamescom 2022 is yet to be revealed, though.

For the next 12 months, Xbox has a big number of first-party and third-party titles coming out. Starfield and RedFall are two big projects from Bethesda, along with Pentiment from Obsidian Entertainment, Forza Motorsport from Turn 10, and Minecraft Legends from Mojang are a handful of titles from Xbox Game Studios that could receive new trailers at Gamescom 2022.

Other than the games above, we might get the chance to have an in-depth look at A Plague Tale Requiem as well as STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, which was delayed until 2023.

Thus far, we haven’t heard anything from Sony on whether they would be present at Gamescom 2022 or not, but the company has already revealed its absences at Tokyo Games Show for this year.

Regarding the fact that Sony has not been a fan of big showcases in the last few years, we probably shouldn’t expect much from PlayStation at Gamescom 2022.
