Xbox Game Pass July 2023 games line-up and release dates

Microsoft has announced the next wave of releases coming to Xbox Game Pass in July and early August. Just 24-hours after announcing its new subscription tier for Game Pass, the Xbox platform holder confirmed that Techtonica, Toem and The Cave will be available to subscribers from today (July 18). The highlight is arguably hand-drawn adventure game Toem, which sees players explore a mysterious world armed with a camera.

“Set off on a delightful expedition and use your photographic eye to uncover the mysteries of the magical Toem in this hand-drawn adventure game,” reads the official Toem description.

“Chat with quirky characters, solve their problems by snapping neat photos, and make your way through a relaxing landscape!”

Fans don’t have long to wait for the next batch of games, as first-person puzzle game Maquette joins the line-up on July 19, followed by Figment 2: Creed Valley and The Wandering Village on July 20.

Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem will be available to play from July 25, while brand new release Venba joins Xbox Game Pass on July 31.

Venba is an interesting and unique cooking game in which a family moves to Canada in the 1980s.

“Venba is a short narrative cooking game, where you play as an Indian mom, who immigrates to Canada with her family in the 1980s,” reads the official description.

“Players will cook various dishes and restore lost recipes, hold branching conversations, and explore in this story about family, love, loss, and more.”

Celeste rounds off a rather low-key month on August 1. The side-scrolling platformer will be playable on cloud, console and PC.

“Celeste makes a return to the Game Pass library! Help Madeline survive her inner demons on her journey to the top of Celeste Mountain, in this super-tight platformer from the creators of TowerFall. Brave hundreds of hand-crafted challenges, uncover devious secrets, and piece together the mystery of the mountain.”
