Eoghan Quigg has confirmed his partner Amy gave birth to their second child on Wednesday.

The singer, who shot to fame as a teenager when he competed in the 2008 edition of X Factor, told fans both Amy and his little lad, who’s been named Camden, are doing well and added that he’s ‘so proud’.

Eoghan, 30, confirmed in September that Amy was pregnant again.

Taking to Instagram midweek, Eoghan posted a handful of heart-melting photos of himself, Amy and Camden in hospital, writing: ‘The finale has arrived. Our baby boy Camden Eoghan Quigg was born in the early hours of this morning.’

The crooner went on: ‘Mummy and baby are doing well. I’m so proud and in awe of you @amylcampbell our family is now complete.’

Eoghan was quickly inundated with well wishes, with many of his 13,200 followers writing ‘congratulations’ beneath his post.

Amy has two children from a previous relationship, and last year the couple welcomed their first child together, one-year-old Emmy Belle.

Eoghan finished third in the 2008 series of X Factor, behind winner Alexandra Burke and runners-up JLS, and in 2014 tried his hand at representing Ireland in Eurovision, though fell at the final hurdle.

He was just 16 during his X Factor days and proved an instant hit with fans and Simon Cowell alike, with the head judge being his mentor.

Despite signing a record deal with RCA Records in 2009 and releasing his self-titled album shortly afterwards, Eoghan was eventually dropped from the label after his music failed to perform commercially.

After his music career took a dive, Eoghan tried his hand at football and briefly played for Northern Irish football club Coagh United FC in 2015.

These days, Eoghan still lives Northern Ireland and continued to have a career in music, regularly performing at weddings and events.
