WWE’s Dominik Mysterio ‘knows how Martha Stewart felt’ after prison stint
Dominik Mysterio has been changed by his stint in prison and he claims he relates to Martha Stewart.
Speaking to The Miz on his titular talk show, Dom insisted that prison taught him about the importance of rolling with your crew, and that ‘snitches get stitches’, while he’s been inspired to make the most of life.
He said: ‘I was in my cell, right, with my cell mate, top bunk when I was sleeping. I overheard him saying that he wanted to punch a hole in my face. So what did I do? I hopped down, I slapped him awake and I asked him, “We got a problem here?” And that was that.’
He added: ‘Now, I really, truly know how Martha Stewart feels.’
He was, of course, referring to the beloved star’s 2004 conviction of felony charges stemming from the ImClone stock trading case, which saw her spend five months in jail.
However, The Miz was quick to put stop to his claims, noting his sources told him Dom was only behind bars for a matter of hours.
The 25-year-old star, who was introduced as the World’s Most Dangerous Man, has insisted he’s been changed by the experience and has sported a different look since Christmas.
After apparently getting a small teardrop tattoo under his left eye, Dom came out this week with a purple bandana covering his face and a black and white flannel shirt as he was flanked by his Judgment Day teammates.
It was a good night for the group, with Rhea Ripley beating Candice LeRae in singles action before Finn Balor and Damian Priest took on some top tandems in a Tag Team Turmoil match to determine The Usos next challengers for the Raw Tag Team Titles.
In that main event, Priest and Balor beat The Good Brothers, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander, and Alpha Academy, but Balor appeared to be injured and got replaced by Dominik, who scored the match-deciding pin against Street Profits.
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
