WWE superstar Rhea Ripely has revealed the inspiration behind her latest tattoo.

The current Women’s World Champion has a growing collection of ink on her body, and her newest design has a poignant meaning following the death of her grandmother earlier this year.

The 26-year-old star’s Nonna died in April, and she has got a new tattoo in her memory, which shows a jar styled like a chicken with mints inside.

Rhea explained that all the children in her family would run straight for the jar to get a treat, and she admitted those memories will stay with her for the rest of her life.

She wrote alongside a photo of the tattoo: ‘*The chicken jar* – One of the most sentimental objects from my Nonna’s house.

‘All the kids in the fam LOVED this jar and ran to grab Nonna’s Minties. The memories will live with me forever. ❤️’

Rhea was able to see her relative earlier in 2023 and described it as ‘the highlight’ of her year, while back in April she shared a photo of herself as a young girl with her grandmother, and another recent picture of them together as she revealed the sad news.

She wrote: ‘Thursday night I lost one of my favorite people. Nonna, Im going to miss your strong loving hugs & your little sassy cheeky attitude.

‘It’s so hard saying goodbye, but being able to see you again in Feb was the highlight of my year ❤️ I miss you & I love you with all my heart. (sic)’

Meanwhile, the Judgment Day star has previously opened up about how being involved in the group helped keep her strong when she was going through a difficult injury layoff last year.

She exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘You start questioning a lot of things, so being a part of the Judgment Day, and going out there and still supporting my boys, doing promos and all that, just being in front of the camera, still on the road – it was a good distraction.’
