The legendary star – who was part of the 2022 Royal Rumble match over the weekend – made a surprise appearance at the end on Monday night’s show after Ronda Rousey had dropped the Raw Women’s Champion.
The red brand’s main event segment saw the Baddest Woman on the Planet make her return to address her Rumble win – and her WrestleMania plans.
Rousey admitted she has unfinished business with both Lynch and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair – whom she eliminated to win the bout on Saturday night – and she’s been thinking about which of them to challenge.
She was interrupted by Big Time Becks, as the two traded verbal jabs before Rousey took her longtime rival down with an arm drag.
Instead of giving her answer there and then, she revealed she’ll be at SmackDown on Friday to make her decision.
There was more to come, as Lita’s music hit and the Hall of Famer came to the ring, initially heaping praise on Lynch before challenging her for a title match at Elimination Chamber.
The champ stalled a bit before accepting, and the stage is set for a dream match in Saudi Arabia.
Bobby Lashley finds out Elimination Chamber opponents as Brock Lesnar makes WrestleMania decision
With the Royal Rumble in the history books, WWE’s focus is now on the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia this month, and WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas.
The night kicked off with some huge news for both of those shows, as Adam Pearce revealed Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE Title inside the Chamber itself.
The champ came out with MVP with the former voicing his displeasure at having to face five opponents at once after beating Brock Lesnar.
The Beast came out looking ready for a fight, teasing the All Mighty for his pride in a victory aided by Roman Reigns, before insisting he’s actually mad at the Tribal Chief and Paul Heyman.
He will face Roman at WrestleMania, and he challenged Bobby for a WWE Championship match on Raw so he could make the April showdown a title versus title bout.
MVP sent him to the back of the line and talked Lashley down, but Pearce dropped another bombshell as Brock was named one of the participants in the Elimination Chamber.
The first match of the night saw former Women’s Tag Team Champions collide as Rhea Ripley pinned Nikki A.S.H. in a fun bout, but one that didn’t feel like the epic blow-off these two deserve.
The Miz beat Dominik Mysterio in a short but entertaining match after tricking the referee into thinking Rey had got involved, then using the distraction to hit a Skull-Crushing Finale for the win.
With Seth Rollins rewarded for his performance against Roman Reigns on Saturday with a spot on the Elimination Chamber match, Kevin Owens went out to face Austin Theory in the first of three qualifiers.
Theory picked up a massive win in an absolute fantastic match, and he now finds himself in a huge title bout this month.
The issues between the Street Profits and Dirty Dawgs continued as Angelo Dawkins pinned Dolph Ziggler in an great, energetic sprint.
RK-Bro and Alpha Academy continued their academy challenge with a scooter race around the area, with Otis stopping Riddle from winning at the finish, leading to an immediate match between the two with the winner getting into the Chamber.
The Original Bro picked up the win in a cracking match which let both men shine.
Bianca Belair defeated Carmella in a decent bout without much drama.
In the match of the night, AJ Styles faced Rey Mysterio in a show-stealing effort to qualify for the Elimination Chamber.
Both men went all-out to deliver something special and undoubtedly succeeded, while the Phenomenal One’s victory means he will be in the WWE Title match against champ Lashley and fellow challengers Brock Lesnar, Austin Theory, Seth Rollins and Riddle.
Elsewhere, Alexa Bliss continued her therapy as she opened up more on Lilly.
