World Music Day Special: Did you know Hrithik Roshan has sung five songs?

While the audience applauds Superstar Hrithik Roshan for being a dynamic actor and a superb dancer, few are aware of his singing abilities. Hrithik comes from a long line of artists that includes his famous uncle Rajesh Roshan, who is also a well-known music director, as well as his paternal grandparents, Bengali singer and composer Ira Roshan and famed music director Roshan Lal. 

Hrithik Roshan has exhibited musical proclivities during the course of his 23-year career, but these traits were only made public when Hrithik used social media during the lockdown.

On World Music Day today, here’s a look at five times Hrithik Roshan lent his voice to projects, unearthing his unknown talent.

Vande Mataram (2022) – Independence Day Special

On Independence Day last year, Hrithik Roshan released his first single, a special rendition of the song Vande Mataram. The song received immense love and praise from all quarters. Hrithik paid tribute to the men and women of the Indian Defence Forces by lending his vocals to the highly celebrated patriotic song created by Jackky Bhagnani and composed by Vishal Mishra.

Kites In The Sky – Kites

In the movie Kites released in 2010, Hrithik lent his soulful voice to a special romantic song titled ‘Kites In The Sky’. The song was composed by the iconic music composer Rajesh Roshan and features Hrithik’s distinctive voice.

What A Wonderful World – Guzaarish

In 2010, Hrithik Roshan recorded a song for the movie Guzaarish. The poignant song, composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, plays during a funeral scene and celebrates the essence of life.

Senorita – Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Hrithik Roshan, accompanied by his co-stars Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol, showcased their vocal talents in the energetic party anthem Senorita for a highly acclaimed contemporary film. Even a decade later, this infectious tune remains the ultimate crowd-pleaser, dominating gatherings of all kinds.

Question Mark – Super 30

Hrithik Roshan is no stranger to embracing the unconventional, whether it’s through his remarkable portrayals or his captivating vocal performances. One such instance is his rendition of “Question Mark” from the film Super 30, where he took a delightful approach to imparting knowledge. The song, composed by Ajay-Atul, not only exudes an infectious groove but also serves as an inspiring anthem for students, as evident from the heartfelt comments flooding its YouTube video. The audience showered immense love upon this unique musical offering.
