Woman’s relationship test backfires

A woman who tricked her boyfriend into thinking she was breaking up with him was shocked to receive an unexpected response.

We like to test our other half as much as the next person – you know, like asking them the anniversary of our first date or if they remember the name of our childhood pet.

But when you start pretending to end things for a joke, that’s when things can get dicey – as this woman knows all to well, The Sun reports.

Earlier this month, TikTok user ‘a._bhabie’ thought she’d quote the lyrics of a High School Musical song at her boyfriend to see how he’d react.

In a viral video that’s racked up more than 296,000 ‘likes’, the woman started sending her partner lyrics from I Gotta Go My Own Way – where Gabriella breaks up with Troy in the second of the cult Disney movies.

At first, the bloke seemed chilled enough and asked her to explain more when she said “life keeps getting in the way” and “whatever we try, somehow the plan is always rearranged”.

But when she said she’s “got to do what’s best” for her, that’s when he really started to panic and rushed to book a taxi to her place.

Keeping the joke going, she simply replied: “I got to move on and be who I am.”

In response, he decided to put all his cards on the table.

He wrote: “Did she tell you I cheated?”

Needless to say, that put an end to the joke there and then.

“WHAT,” she said. “Thanks for that.”

Unsurprisingly, viewers were left equally as stunned.

“My jaw dropped,” one replied.

Another added: “I was singing along & the way I gasped!”

“I screamed,” a third said.

However, in a follow-up video, the woman revealed that her boyfriend had cottoned on to what she was doing and pretended to have cheated to “turn the tables”. Touché.
