Woman shares Uber hack in vid branded ‘terrifying & clever at the same time’

A WOMAN has shared a clever Uber safety hack in an eye-opening video that has been branded ‘terrifying and clever at the same time.’

TikToker Brennalina posted a safety tip she uses every time she gets into an Uber in a bid to help others.

She explained that she copied the trick after seeing someone else doing it on TikTok.

Brennalina wrote: “Ever since a girl on TikTok said she leaves hair and fingerprints in all her Ubers, I leave hair and fingerprints in all my Ubers.”

The video shows her sitting at the back of an Uber dropping a strand of her hair on the car’s floor before pressing her fingers on the window in a bid to leave fingerprints.

The idea behind the hack is that if anything happens to the traveller while in the Uber, their DNA would be all over the car.

The video was captioned: “Ladies, am I right #lovebeingawoman.”

TikTokers praised Brennalina for sharing the tip but said it was “sad” that women had to take safety measures to protect themselves.

One said: “Sad but genius.”

While another one added: “Terrifying and clever at the same time.”

“How sad we have to do this…..,” someone wrote.

Meanwhile, some shared their own safety tips with many suggesting making sure the driver hasn’t put the child lock on. 

One said: “I always act like I dropped something so I can reopen the door to make sure the door isn’t on child lock !”

Another one commented: “I always pretend I’m on the phone with someone as I enter. I’ll usually be like ‘okay I’m getting in the Uber I’ll send you my location love you bye.'”

One shared a different tip: “Set your Uber name to a guy’s name. It will look like a dad/boyfriend/boss ordered it for you, thus you have someone waiting for you.”

One wrote: “also if you have a sweater or something on w loose threads you can take some threads and put them in the carpeting.”
