It’s safe to say that no woman likes shopping for jeans.

One of life’s greatest terrors, it simply puts a lot of women off denim altogether.

There’s the endless jumping, squeezing, turning, and cavorting in a small dressing room and that’s even before a button gets tied.

It is not an enjoyable experience but there is a trick that may make shopping for jeans a little bit easier.

One woman has revealed how to judge if a pair of jeans will fit you without ever having to try them on.

No, you aren’t hearing wrong. TikTok user @topnotchboutique shared the hack in a video captioned: ‘Jean hack! My husband thought I was crazy.’

In the clip the woman says: ‘Let me just show you a jean hack that is going to be a life-saver.’

She then goes on to place the waistband of a pair of jeans around her neck.

‘So if it fits round your neck, they’re going to fit,’ she claims.

Next she makes her way into the dressing room and emerges moments later, wearing the jeans.

The result? The jeans fit perfectly.

‘See! Look how cute they are!,’ she adds.

The video has been viewed over 280,000 times and those in the comments were truly amazed at the trick.

‘Omg that’s crazy,’ wrote one user.

Others shared their positive experiences with the method too.

‘Been doing this for years,’ said one commenter.

While a second added: ‘Yes! My mom told me this hack as we were growing up. Totally works!’

However, some pointed out that the hack won’t work for all jeans.

One person noted: ‘Not always. Sometimes it’s going to work but if the fabric has no give in it, they are not going to fit.’
