Over time your favourite jewellery pieces will gather dirt, scratches and tarnish.

From general wear and tear to fake tan and moisturiser residue, necklaces, bracelets and rings always seem to lose their initial shine.

One of our favourite accessories are Pandora bracelets which go with everything and anything but unfortunately, are one of the first to discolour.

However, a woman has shared a jewellery saving hack which will have your Pandora beauty looking as good as new.

TikTok user @michellemorera divulged the tip on her page and all you need are some basic ingredients from your humble kitchen.

In a clip, Michelle tells users to get some boiling water, baking soda, salt, aluminium foil and your stained bracelet.

She first lines a bowl with aluminium foil and pours in three cups of boiling water. Next, she adds in one tablespoon of salt and one tablespoon of baking soda and mixes.

Finally, she pops her Pandora bracelet into the bowl and leaves it to soak for five to 10 minutes. If there is still some dirt left, Michelle advises people to use a cloth or toothbrush to remove it.

Those in the comments were quick to praise Michelle for her useful tip.

‘Just did my bracelet and what a big big difference. It looks new,’ wrote one user.

‘Tried this tonight! Cleaned even my dirtiest charms. I was so shocked it worked,’ said another.

Many others and former Pandora employees shared their top jewellery cleaning tips.

One commented: ‘Former Pandora employee here, you can just use warm water and dawn dish soap and let it soak. You can also purchase the cleaning cloth from Pandora.’

And another added: ‘My mom cleans her silver with baking soda and lime and it comes out looking brand new! You use lime/lime juice to scrub the baking soda on the jewellery.’
