And one holidaymaker has shared the £20 a night campsite she pitched her tent at on a recent trip to Cornwall.

Lauren Candy (@laurencandy3), posted a TikTok video all about her recent holiday to Cornwall.

In the montage, Lauren can be seen running across a sandy beach, tucking into dinner in a grassy field, and exploring several beaches in bays in the local area.

A caption over the video read: “Another stunning weekend, £40 to camp for two nights.”

In the comments of the video, Lauren revealed that she stayed in a campsite called Tragella Place in Cornwall.

The video has had more than 600,000 views with many people adding the campsite to their future holiday plans.

One person commented: “£4, omg that’s great.”

Another person added: “It looks lovely.”

The campsite Lauren is raving about is called Tregella Place Camping in the Cornish countryside.

Set in a quiet grassland setting, the campsite is a 10-minute drive from nearby Padstow and the beaches of Harlyn and Trevone.

Despite not having electric hook-up facilities, the campsite does have a bar where live music is played at the weekend and street food is served.

There are plenty of necessities close by too including a supermarket, pub, and a chicken farm where holidaymakers can buy fresh eggs.

The campsite is also a 10-minute drive from Padstow too.

There are also two beaches nearby including Trevone Beach and Harlyn Bay, both of which are within walking distance.

For holidaymakers who haven’t been camping recently, David Scotland, owner of Outdoor World Direct knows all about how to make a camping trip run smoothly.

Among his tips are testing out tents before you travel, testing the ground you want to camp on, and investing in a good chair.

He said: “Pitch it a couple of weeks before and check for any signs of damage and get it repaired, or if needed, then get a new tent.

“There’s nothing worse than carrying it all the way there only to find the groundsheet is ripped. It’s no good doing it the day before either, because you won’t have time to repair it/get a new one delivered.”

Meanwhile, these camping etiquette mistakes will make other campers hate you.
