Woman pays just £20.45 for seven night 4* holiday in Cyprus
A WOMAN has nabbed a seven-night luxury holiday in Cyprus for just £20.45.
Stephanie Holgate, from Manchester, booked the 4* holiday to Leonardo Crystal Cove in Cyprus with the Jet2 Bid for a Break scheme.
Having bid the lowest unique amount of £20.45, she was the lucky person to get the break which includes a week stay for two people and return flights.
She said: “I entered the competition as I haven’t been able to afford a holiday abroad since 2018.
“I decided on the bid amount after picking a random number while playing bingo with the residents at my work.
“I work as a senior care assistant and it has been very busy throughout the pandemic, so I am so pleased to have won.”
To take part, customers need to decide on the price they want to pay and place a bid via the Jet2 app.
If they are the only user to bid that amount and that amount is the lowest, they will buy the holiday for that price.
Bids open at 9am every Monday, with different locations to bid on until Thursday at midday, with winners announced that day.
Destinations include popular holiday hotspots in Europe, such as the Spanish Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Turkey.
Even if you aren’t successful, applicants still get a £60 off code to use via the website.
Stephanie isn’t the first winner – one mum paid just £1.40 for a 5* holiday to Cyprus, while Leeds-based Amy Lightowler got a £26 holiday to Spain.
Lynn Marriot from County Durham landed a seven-night holiday to Crete including return flights with Jet2 for 2p last year.
And another mum won a five-star holiday to Turkey for just 70p via the scheme.
