Woman ends up being only passenger on a flight – and sits in the cockpit

A WOMAN was left stunned after realising she was the only passenger on her flight.

Even better – she ended up flying in the cockpit for most of the journey.

Aurora Torres was travelling from Røros, in Norway with airline Widerøe to take pictures for a wedding.

However, she quickly realised she was the only person on the 50-minute flight, apart from the crew.

She posted a video to her Instagram account, which showed a completely empty flight with no one else in the seats.

Aurora also shared all of the tiny chocolates she was given by the crew, before she was invited into the cockpit with the two pilots.

She is seen smiling in the cockpit with huge ear defenders on, before it cuts to the end with them waving her goodbye.

The caption of the video said: “When you’re the only passenger, and the flight attendant asks if you want to sit in the front. 10/10 my new favourite airline.”

She explained: “I literally got the news when I was boarding that I was the only passenger.

“The flight attendant was so nice to me and we talked for a while.”

“I think because of the funny situation the crew wanted to do something fun for me.

“The trip lasted 50 minutes and she asked me if I wanted to join the cockpit the last 30 minutes and landing. I had a blast.”

The video has since been watched more than 30,000 times.

She told people in the captions that she was “smiling the whole time,” calling it the “best experience ever”.

Aurora isn’t the only passenger this has happened to.

Earlier this year, traveller Kai Forsyth was the sole passenger on an eight-hour flight from the UK to the US where he was given all the free food he wanted and managed to make a bed on the empty seats.

In 2019, Vincent Peone was travelling with Delta to Salt Lake City when he found out he was the only guest on board, and was allowed to meet the pilots.

The same happy accident happened to a British woman the year before on a Jet2 flight from Glasgow to Crete, who paid just £46 and had the whole flight – and free meals – to herself.

And back in 2016, three British Airways passengers got upgraded to business class and were given free champagne after they were the only passengers on a flight for 150 people.
