Woman divides opinion on cheating after ‘crossing line’ with hen party stripper

The anonymous poster took to Mumsnet for help with a dilemma, saying she felt ‘terrible’ after being unfaithful to her husband.

The incident took place on a hen weekend at a holiday cottage, where a stripper had been booked to perform for the 20 partygoers.

‘It was way more intimate than I was prepared for, he did a bit with whipped cream and a few of us licked off,’ the woman explained.

‘I would never usually but I was really quite tipsy, there was a bit of crowd pressure and the whole thing was really quite arousing.

‘I know these are lame excuses. I crossed a line and did stuff for way longer than I should.’

In further comments, the user said she’d given the stripper a three or four-minute blowjob, going beyond what others had done while shielded from view by a large Union Jack flag (which was used as a prop during the show).

She also said that although ‘the drink definitely contributed’ to her actions, ‘it was more how horny’ the adult performance had made her.

Seeking advice, the woman continued: ‘I know I need to tell [my husband] but I have no idea how to even go about bringing this up. He’ll be crushed and I’m so disappointed in myself.’

Reactions to the post were strong on either side, with some claiming it didn’t warrant a confession and others condemning the woman’s behaviour.

‘You’ve the moral compass of an alleycat,’ wrote one commenter. ‘Your husband deserves someone with honesty but that’s looking like it’s not you.’

Another added: ‘Truth is, you have cheated and you have hurt him by doing this, he just doesn’t know it yet. Lying by omission is still lying and it’s disgusting, as was sucking off a stripper, especially after multiple women had done the same.’

Some also suggested she get tested for STIs, while others argued that the situation would be thought of differently had the genders been reversed.

On the opposing side, a commenter wrote: ‘Do you class that as unfaithful? I don’t. If I found out my partner had done that to a female stripper, I’d be cross, but I wouldn’t class that as cheating in the slightest.’

‘I’m a real prude and I wouldn’t class this as cheating,’ said another.

Others questioned whether telling the husband would merely assuage the poster’s own guilt, like the user who asked: ‘Unless he’s likely to hear it from someone else why would you hurt him by telling him?’

One thing’s for sure, the hens can expect some extremely awkward moments at the upcoming wedding.
