Woman bags holiday to Spain for just £4.94 with flights – here is how she did it
A WOMAN has bagged herself a seven-night trip to Spain, including return flights, for just £4.94 – and you could do the same.
Karen O’Donnell, from Gourock in the West of Scotland, will be staying at a 4-star resort in Lloret de Mar in the Costa Brava for less than a fiver, after successfully bidding on the trip.
She did this via the Jet2 app, where their weekly Bid for a Break auction sees people try and get away for as little as possible.
The rules are simple – whoever places the lowest unique bid on the holiday, gets to take the trip for the price they offered.
Already this year, people have won trips to Bulgaria for £5.85 and Cyprus for £1.40.
Karen has become the 14th person to bag themselves a bargain holiday this summer and she said she was “over the moon” to have won.
She said: “I downloaded the Jet2 app after booking a recent holiday – it was a great tool for information whilst I was away – and I’ve been entering the competition every week since June.
“My bids have always been quite close to the amounts bid by previous successful bidders, so I’m over the moon to secure a holiday for myself.”
Jet2 boss Steve Heapy said: “Congratulations to Karen for successfully bidding for a holiday with Jet2holidays through our ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign.”
To enter Bid for a Break, you need to download the Jet2 app. The auction can be found on the ‘offers’ page.

If you are the only person to offer the lowest amount, you get to go on the holiday for the price you offered.
This month people can bid for seven-night stays in the Algarve, Kos and Malta.
This man also got a cheap holiday using the app, with his bid taking him to Tenerife for £34.
If you’re lucky enough, you could get away for 1p using the competition.
