Winter car hack that could save you £100s – your car already has what you need
A WOMAN has shared a winter driving hack on social media that could get you out of trouble and save £100s.
Even better, most cars have what’s needed to complete the hack inside already.
The video was uploaded by @cathypedrayes who has more than two million followers on TikTok.
She revealed that when your car gets stuck on ice or snow, one solution is putting your car mat under the driven wheels.

Then the driver needs to carefully move forwards or backwards using the grip of the mat to get them going.
“It helps to get out of the icy spots and drive away,” Cathy said.
The hack could avoid having to call out a tow truck to free your car, potentially saving you £100s.
But Cathy also reminds viewers to not forget to pick up their car mat once finished.
“It is very important that when you finish, you need to pick up the car mats,” she said.
She also warns that sometimes it may take multiple attempts to get the car unstuck.
TikTok users have reacted to the hack with mixed feelings.
One said:” I am NEVER doing that to my floor mats.”
Cathy answered this user by saying: “In an emergency, you might.”
“Get snow tires, problem solved,” another user said.
While other users claimed that they will try this hack if it’s an emergency.
“I wish I had known this yesterday, I got stuck in ice,” one woman said.
“I am going to send this hack to my mum, she really needs to know this,” another user added.
