Will Smith revealed his support for racing driver Lewis Hamilton at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Sunday.

The actor, 53, shared his thoughts on the sportsman during a trackside interview in which he also joked about starring in a petrol fueled flick.

Cornered by pitlane reporter Martin Brundle, the Oscar winner was questioned over who he was rooting for at the race.

‘I’m team Lewis! That’s my guy, that’s my guy,’ he proudly declared to the Sky Sports journalist.

He continued saying: ‘I was out last night so I lost my voice a little bit. But I’m always team Lewis’.

The presenter further questioned the star over his involvement in the new movie that is in production and features a theme of Formula 1.

Will replied: ‘I don’t know, I haven’t been asked yet but I would love to. I may have to work on this gut though! It doesn’t fit in the car too well’.

Lewis was also presented the same question elsewhere but admitted he wouldn’t be giving up the driving seat for lights, camera, action anytime soon.

‘I don’t plan to be in it, no,’ he revealed however he did admit some of the drivers may be involved in the action scenes.

The sportsman revealed: ‘It’s going to take us drivers to be involved in [filming the on-track action].

‘But we’re not actors … We don’t want this movie to be c***, which is probably why I’m not going to be part of it also’.

Martin has spoken to a variety of A-listers as they took in the fast-paced sporting event.

His previous chats included words with Jeremy Clarkson two weeks prior to Will at the Bahrain circuit.

The ex-Top Gear presenter said at the time: ‘First Formula 1 race I’ve been to for years. It’s just so fantastic to be back.

‘I adore Formula 1. It was infuriating for years and years and now it’s back because they can follow one another and the aerodynamics are so much better.

‘My daughter is now a really big fan so I can talk to her about it. I can’t believe how big [the cars] have got! I’m just fizzing with excitement over it all’.
