Why Watford could be great for families with great transport links and schools
Hertfordshire’s largest town has the happy coincidence of being its best connected, with a commute faster than from Zone 2 and close enough to London to be on the Tube network. There are mainline and Overground stations, it’s at the end of a branch of the Metropolitan line, by Junction 5 of the M1 and close to the M25.
The Cassiobury Estate boasts the most aspirational houses and a lovely park, while Nascot Village’s charming terraces are super-convenient for Watford Junction station. North Watford and also West Watford – close to the Hornets’ Vicarage Road Ground – offer the best value.
