THE Eiffel Tower has had a growth spurt thanks to the installation of a new antenna.
The iconic landmark now towers even higher above Paris after a new communications antenna was put on top, making it six metres taller.

The antenna was added on Tuesday and means the Eiffel Tower now reaches 330m into the sky.
According to the Associated Press, the Eiffel Tower company’s president Jean-François Martins said scientific progress is an integral part to the tower’s 133-year history.
He said: “It’s a historical moment because the Eiffel Tower is getting higher, which is not so common.
“From the invention of the radio at the beginning of the 20th century to right now, decades after decades, the Eiffel Tower has been a partner for all the radio technology.”
Vaccinated Brits who want to go and check out the newly-grown structure can visit France without needing to access a Covid pass.
The country scrapped its strict Covid vaccine passport rules at the beginning of the week.
Now, visitors don’t need to use France’s Covid passport – called pass vaccinal – to enter restaurants, bars or cinemas.
Additionally, the mandatory use of face masks has been ditched – with the exception of public transport and care homes.
To enter France, vaccinated Brits need to show proof of vaccination and fill in a sworn statement confirming they are not suffering from Covid symptoms.
Currently, unvaccinated Brits can still only enter France for an essential reason.
In other travel news, the UK is dropping the last of its Covid travel rules from tomorrow, making holidays easier.
From 4am tomorrow, long-winded Passenger Locator Forms are being ditched, along with Covid tests for unvaccinated Brits.
The changes have come ahead of the Easter holidays and will save travellers time and money.
