Who is Bagpipes on The Masked Singer? All the clues and theories
Joel Dommett has returned to front the show, as 12 more mystery celebrities don some elaborate costumes and burst into song, in their bid to outwit judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall – as well as try and baffle the folks at home.
Among those showing off their moves on the stage was Bagpipes, who stunned with their performance.
But just who is hiding behind that distinctive looking outfit?
Here’s the clues we’ve been given so far to their identity…
What clues have been given about Bagpipes on The Masked Singer?
- The VT came from Edinburgh Castle
- Might be known for having started a tradition
- Is no stranger to an instrument
- Has a ‘bit of Scottish’ in their past
- The name Annette was attached to a toy dog
- Bagels
- ‘Not going to be as easy as ACDC’
- Could be sporting a fake Scottish accent
- Played a ‘wee tune with a tumbling rock’
Who is Bagpipes on The Masked Singer?
John McEnroe
Davina guessed John could well be hiding behind the mask of Bagpipes due to what appeared to be tennis clues in the VT.
She thought ‘Annette’ could in fact be a link to a tennis net, with the bagel clue also linked to the game.
John is no stranger to instruments himself, having pursued his post-tour goal of becoming a working musician after retiring from the sport.
Pat Cash
Another tennis star, Pat has also been named by fans of the show who think he might be Bagpipes.
But will he be unveiled by the panel in the weeks to come?
David Tennant
Despite many fans – and some of the panel – sure Bagpipes was putting on a fake accent, some are sure it’s a legendary Scottish actor in the form of David.
Doctor Who star David doesn’t seem to obviously link to any of the clues so far, but you can’t argue with those at home who have got their thinking caps on.
Richard Madden
Richard is another Scots star who was shouted out by a tonne of fans on Sunday night.
It seems unlikely the Hollywood actor would swap LA for The Masked Singer but who knows, weirder things have happened.
The Masked Singer continues on Saturday at 7pm on ITV.
