KELOWNA, B.C. – Alexander Suzdalev capped a two-goal, two-assist effort by scoring the game-winning goal 3:07 into overtime as the Regina Pats edged the Kelowna Rockets 6-5 on Tuesday.
Borya Valis, Tye Spencer, Tanner Howe and Tanner Brown also scored for Regina (12-11-1-1), which pushed its win streak to three games. Stanislav Svozil dished out four assists while Drew Sim made 39 saves.
Andrew Cristall led the way for Kelowna (9-10-2) with two goals and two assists. Caden Price, with one goal and two assists, Carson Golder and Max Graham added the others while Talyn Boyko stopped 28-of-34 shots.
Cristall netted the game-tying marker with 52 seconds remaining in regulation after Brown restored the Pats’ lead at 17:32 of the third period.
Regina went 3-for-4 on the power play while the Rockets went 4-for-7.
