What shops are open on the Coronation Bank Holiday Monday?

Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s larger stores will be open from 7am until 10pm on May 8. Sainsbury’s Local shops will open from 7am until 11pm as usual.
Tesco
Larger stores and Tesco Metros will open from 8am to 8pm on Bank Holiday Monday, May 8, instead of their usual 10pm or 24 hour service. Tesco Express stores, however, will be open as normal.
Asda
Asda confirmed it will open as normal on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, but will operate from 7am to 8pm on May 8.
Morrisons
Morrisons announced it will be open from 7am to 10pm on May 8, however, times could vary depending on the location of the store.
Waitrose
Waitrose stores will open 9am to 6pm on Bank Holiday Monday. Customers are advised, however, to check their local branch operating hours.
Aldi
The supermarket will open its doors at the usual time (8am) on May 8 but will close at 8pm.
Lidl
Most Lidl branches in England and Wales will open between 8am and 8pm, but some could close at 10pm on May 8.

Co-Op opening times could vary depending on location, so customers should check their local opening times online.
Poundland
Poundland advised customers to check the Store Finder page online as “opening times may vary during Bank and public holidays”.
Home Bargains
Most Home Bargains stores will open from 11am on the May Bank Holiday, but opening times may vary depending on store size and location, and some may operate from 9am to 6pm.
A spokesperson for Home Bargains explained: “Some stores may differ to the above due to local retail park or shopping precinct opening times, so best to direct customers to the Home Bargains website to check before visiting.”
Iceland
Iceland confirmed that it will be open over the May Bank Holiday, with most branches operating from 7am or 8am until 7pm, and in some towns, shops could be open until 9pm. Customers are advised to check their local supermarket opening hours online.
Costa Coffee
Costa Coffee will also be open over the Bank Holiday, but opening times could vary depending on location.
B&Q
All B&Q shops across the UK will be open as usual from 7am or 8am to 8pm on May 8.
Primark
Primark will open as usual on Saturday and Sunday but opening hours on May 8 will vary from store to store and the retailer recommended shoppers to check their local store opening times on the website.
Greggs
Greggs also advised customers to check the store locator for updated times and these could vary on the Bank Holiday Monday. While some shops could operate at their usual opening times, some Greggs could be closed on Monday, May 8.
Retailer Homebase will be open from 8am to 7pm on May 8 across the country and clothing store Next will also open over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
