WhatsApp scammer teaches a man ‘valuable’ lessons on money, friendship. See post

Millions of people are becoming victims of WhatsApp scams nowadays. While the instant messaging app has improved communication between two people, it has also invited new kinds of cyber scams such as international calls, shopping links, etc. However, among the news of WhatsApp-related frauds, a post has appeared where the scammer has taught a valuable lesson to the victim. A Twitter user, named Mahesh, has shared a screenshot of a chat with a scammer that has taken the internet by storm.

In the first screenshot, the scammer texted Mahesh on WhatsApp, “Namaste! I have something to share with you. May I have a few minutes of your valuable time?”

To this, he responded by saying, “I want to make friends”.

The scammer wrote, “Hi, this is Vien, I am from Global Group of Companies, Are you looking for a part-time job or permanent job that will help you to earn 500-5000 in just 5-30 minutes?”

Mahesh continued, “They are loyal and not two-faced like most of the people on this planet”.

The scammer responded, “Making friends is good, but making money is much better…Life is not just about love and friends, think of yourself first, think first how will you survive in this world”.

The conversation between Mahesh and the scammer has gone viral.

An individual wrote, “This conversation is worth a lot bro.” A second added, “These people are more honest than people I see and encounter every day. Talking with them is more real than the people I see around. Love him.” “Scammer got philosophical real quick.”

Separately, many Indian WhatsApp users received spam calls on WhatsApp, with some getting defrauded. Now last week the central government has directed the messaging company to submit a report detailing the telecom carriers that were predominantly used to create fraudulent accounts

WhatsApp has agreed to share the report with the government. The messaging app has also ramped up its artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) systems to reduce international scam calls.
