WhatsApp hosts training programme in Hyderabad to help restaurateurs

WhatsApp on Wednesday said it has collaborated with the National Restaurants Association of India to host a training and upskilling workshop for the small and medium restaurant community.

Under this collaboration, the instant messaging service app said that an educational workshop was held in Hyderabad, to educate the restaurant community on adopting technology and digital tools to reinvent their operations and cater to the evolving needs of their customers.

The workshop was dedicated to training restaurant owners about building a digital presence on the WhatsApp business app to help them manage incoming leads and queries, build their products/services showcase and market to key audiences using online tools. The participating members received first-hand experience in building their business-profiles on WhatsApp business app, showcasing their menu, managing customer engagement and discovering new customers, the company said.

“Adopting technology and digital marketing tools have equipped restaurants to become agile and reinvent during the challenging times. The workshop on ‘Unlocking the potential of WhatsApp for your business’ at the Indian Restaurant Conclave, 2022, paved paths for restaurateurs looking for digital-first solutions and the potential to expand their business,” said Saaz Mehmood, Founder of NRAI, Hyderabad Chapter & Member, MC, NRAI said in a statement.

Further, WhatsApp said that businesses like Gurgaon-based Gullu’s Kitchen and Twisted Tiffin from Goa are a few examples of ventures that have unlocked avenues for their business via the WhatsApp Business App.
