What stars are thankful for this Christmas 2022
Sue Prado
The year 2022 is a proof of life yet again, a testament of the strength of the spirit, and resilience of the heart amidst all the adversity. Gagapang, pero ‘di pabubuwag!
Jose Javier ‘Joey’ Reyes
[My 2022 was] a challenge as in the past three years: the virus may have diminished but its effects in the way we live and how we do things are still very much there. 2022 was the start of the age of transition as we redefine what will be our new normal… and the process is a struggle not only for the entertainment industry, but by the very way we need to recalibrate the way we live. But the very fact that we are still up on our feet fighting, then there is reason to still be grateful and keep on fighting.
My wish for my loved ones are good health and a great sense of humor to last a lifetime; for all my friends, resilience, patience and never losing the sense of gratitude for what has been given and not for what is still desired.

My 2022 is a year of projects: from the South African Tourism global campaign, to the Heineken global ad, and finally, to “Nakarehas na Puso.” I couldn’t be happier. In terms of relationships, it’s a mixed bag. I’m happy to have spent time with my family in the Philippines as well as to have reconnected with my fan base, but also sad because I missed my middle child’s valediction and was away from my kids for a great part of the year.
John ‘Sweet’ Lapus
My 2022 was like a crazy roller-coaster ride. It started slow, as I was not doing any work, and then it rode so fast, as I was doing back-to-back directing jobs for ‘Balita One Nan’ for Buko Channel and ‘Jose & Maria’s Bonggang Villa’ for GMA-7 (I’m so thankful to APT Entertainment for believing in me). Then the ride became slow again, since the production of the second season of my shows were moved to 2023. Thank God, I’m used to roller-coaster rides and enjoy them, literally and figuratively. Bring it on, 2023!
This year, I wish for calmness, both for my heart and my mind. Mahilig kasi akong mag-isip at mag-calculate ng future ko, even though we all know we can’t really predict it. Aside from it being my wish, it’s actually my daily prayer.
Rachel Alejandro
I had a very fruitful and productive 2022. I traveled frequently for concerts and started my acting career in the United States. I’m grateful for the all the blessings! My Christmas wish is for my film shoot schedule in 2023 to work out so I can be in the Philippines with my Lola, the one who raised me, on her 90th birthday.
