While we’re used to getting all our old favourites from McDonald’s – from the Big Mac through to the classic cheeseburger – the restaurant chain is always mixing things up on the menu.
So far this year McD’s fans have been treated to a whole load of new items when they show up for their fast food fix – with six new additions landing on the menu just this week.
And while some of the new items might be limited edition, others that appeared earlier in the year have also stuck around – with some old favourites also returning.
So just what is new on the menu in 2023 – and how long do you have to try all the new burgers, sides and other items?

Mighty McMuffin
New to the breakfast menu is this loaded muffin, consisting of a pork sausage patty, a free-range egg, two slices of bacon and a slice of cheese served in a toasted English muffin. You can have it with either ketchup or brown sauce depending on your preference.
Price: £4:59 each or £5.99 for a meal
Steakhouse Stack
This new addition features two 100% beef patties, a slice of cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions, and lettuce topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce, all in a freshly-toasted bun.

Mozzarella Dippers
Another returning item is the popular Mozzarella Dippers, consisting of sticks of mozzarella cheese coated in breadcrumbs and served with a tomato salsa dip. The side dish is making its return after being axed last summer and replaced with Halloumi Fries.
Price: Single serving: £2.19; Sharebox: £6.19
Cadbury Caramel McFlurry
Got room for dessert after your burger? There are two additions to the McFlurry menu, kicking off with Cadbury’s Caramel. Expect soft dairy ice cream, swirled with Cadbury milk chocolate pieces and a caramel sauce.

Cadbury Creme Egg Mini McFlurry

McSpicy
The McSpicy returned to the menu in February and is staying for good this time, after proving a hit with customers when it was first launched in July 2021. It consists of a hot and spicy chicken breast in a crispy coating, served with crunchy lettuce and a classic sandwich sauce, all in a sesame seed bun.
Price: Single serving £4.29, or £5.79 for a meal
Double McPlant
Released in January to coincide with Veganuary, fans of the McPlant can now enjoy two patties instead of one.
The vegan burger is made with two juicy plant-based patties courtesy of Beyond Meat, vegan sandwich sauce, ketchup, mustard, onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and a vegan alternative to cheese in a sesame seed bun.
When are the new menu items available until?
The new items which have been added to the McDonald’s menu in March will be available for six weeks and while stocks last.
There’s no word yet on whether any of them may be made permanent – so get down to your local branch to sample them while you can.
However two of the items added so far this year – the McSpicy and the Double McPlant – will now be permanent additions to the menu.
