What is ITVX?

ITVX is a brand new stream service from Brit broadcaster ITV.

It’s a replacement for the old ITV Hub app (previously known as ITV Player), which has now been officially retired as a brand.

That means ITVX is the new home for ITV’s online content, and is available in website and app formats.

ITVX launched on November 17, 2022 – with full availability on December 8.

The service offers a “new and improved product experience” according to ITV.

You’ll be able to watch ITV channels with on-demand content, with a focus on exclusives.

It’s a clear bid to rival fellow streaming giants like BBC iPlayer, Netflix and Amazon Video.

You can access it by going to the ITV website, or by downloading the app on iPhone, iPad or Android.

It’ll also be available on some smart TVs, as well as newer Xbox consoles, Chromecasts, Roku and Now TV.

ITVX price – how much does it cost?

The standard version of ITVX is completely free of charge.

There’s no limit to the number of shows you can watch either.

The catch is that you’ll need to sit through ads, just like you would when watching normal telly.

Thankfully there’s a premium option available for people who want to scrap the ads.

You can sign up to ITVX Premium for £5.99 a month – or for £59.99 per year.

Paying for the annual subscription will save you £11.89 over the course of a year.

You also get some bonus perks with Premium, in addition to simply removed advertising.

ITVX Premium includes access to BritBox, which gives you extra shows and boxsets.
