After a dominant 11-2 victory over Team Austria on Tuesday, Connor Bedard and Team Canada are looking to let the good times roll as they take on Germany on Wednesday.
Bedard, 16, put on a show with four goals on Tuesday, tying Team Canada’s World Juniors single-game record while also becoming the youngest player in World Juniors history to score a natural hat trick. He is the second player in two games to record a hat trick for Team Canada, joining Owen Power, who had three goals in his debut against Czechia. Cole Perfetti is the Canadians’ scoring leader so far with six points to open their 2022 World Juniors run.
Germany, meanwhile, is coming off an impressive 2-1 overtime victory over the Czechs thanks to two goals from Alexander Blank. The Germans, who are 1-1 to open their WJC campaign, will be put to the test against the Canadians.
