Weather updates as warning for ice remains with ‘tricky’ travel conditions
Forecasters are predicting ‘tricky’ travel conditions this morning as a yellow weather warning for ice remains in place for parts of Greater Manchester.
Freezing temperatures are forecast across the region until at least 1pm, with the warning in place in place until 10am.
The Met Office says surfaces may be icy on some roads, pavements and cycle paths.
This will ‘make accidents more likely and journey times longer’.

In a tweet, TfGM warned of a disruption on the roads and on public transport and told motorists to ‘allow extra travel time’.
Both the Snake Pass and Woodhead Pass remain shut this morning due to snow on the roads.
This follows a wintry blizzard that hit at around 12pm yesterday (Sunday), which saw snowfall last for a couple of hours as temperatures dropped to 1C.
In some places, the snow set in for the evening, dusting rooftops and covering gardens.
The snowfall came in the aftermath of Storm Arwen, which first struck on Friday evening with gale force winds.
