We paid for a dream wedding in Greece with 40 guests – but now we are devastated

DOZENS of brides have been left heartbroken after their dream wedd­ings were cancelled — because TUI lost a hotel contract.

Emily Dabinett-Jones, 23, was one of more than 40 women who forked out £10,000 for their special days next year.

But alarm bells started to ring when she could no longer find the venue on TUI’s website.

After getting no response from TUI, Emily contacted the Atlantica Holiday Village on the Greek island of Kos.

She was told they were in negotiations with the company after its contract ran out.

The mum of two, from Welshpool, Powys, has been dating fiancé Oliver Hughes, 24, since school.

She said: “We are devastated.

“We had our hearts set on our big day. To think it might not be happening is heartbreaking.”

Another bride, Katie Cooper, said: “I’ve reached out to Atlantica who have also played radio silence on social media.

“The TUI wedding coordinators told me someone would be in touch, but I’ve heard nothing.

“We all booked with TUI believing they were a reputable company and would organise a stress-free wedding.”

Earlier tonight, TUI told The Sun that the brides would be offered another hotel a ten-minute drive away or would be refunded.

A spokeswoman said: “Our customer services teams will be in touch directly to discuss options within seven days.”
