Watch intense moment as car is nearly sandwiched between two lorries

A VIDEO has revealed the moment a car is nearly sandwiched between two lorries – but viewers are divided on who’s in the wrong.

The dashcam footage shows a blue Honda CR-V struggling to join the motorway from a slip road, appearing unsure of the speed of the traffic in the outer lanes.

At the same time, a lorry on the inside lane of the slip road continues on and blocks the Honda from the left.

People on social media were quick to blame the car driver, with most saying he should have adjusted his approach speed much better as he joined the motorway.

The Highway Code appears to agree, saying: “When you join the motorway, you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway.

“You should give priority to traffic already on the motorway, check the traffic on the motorway and match your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane.

“Do not cross solid white lines that separate lanes or use the hard shoulder.

“Stay on the slip road if it continues as an extra lane on the motorway.

“And also remain in the left-hand lane long enough to adjust to the speed of traffic before considering overtaking.”

The video has gone viral with more than 51,200 views on TikTok – but users are divided.

One said: “CRV was completely inept. Either accelerate or brake but don’t just sit there at the same speed waiting to crash.”

Another said: “That’s why you increase speed on a slip road to get ahead of traffic, not dawdle along at 40 when the lorry is doing 60, typical CRV numpty.”

A third pointed out: “The lorry driver on the left should have been able to anticipate that on approach.”

The comments were on fire, with a fourth commenter saying: “Ok, let’s agree to disagree. Answer this one, why did the lorry on the left speed up? Had he NOT done that, everything would have been fine, agree?”

This comes after a driver overtook more than 20 cars, branding other motorists as stupid.

Plus, a driver captured a shocking experience on their dashboard camera, saying it’s exactly why they got one in the first place.
