IS this the worst attempt at an overtake you’ve ever seen?

It could well be, and the video, uploaded to TikTok on a channel called funnfactory1, shows how dangerous it is when it all goes wrong.

The video is shot using a dash cam inside a car and starts on a leafy B-road in traffic.

Up ahead is a Peugeot stuck behind a tipper van carrying a heavy load and it instantly decides to go for the overtake.

It indicates right and starts to move out into the other lane and make the pass.

However, while you’re expecting the Peugeot driver to boot the throttle and accelerate off up the road, nothing much happens.

The Pug just hangs out in the other lane until a car starts coming the other way.

At this point you expect the Peugeot driver to abort the overtake and admit defeat, but it simply plows on.

The camera car slows down to avoid getting involved and the Peugeot driver realises they aren’t going to make it.

They are forced to a stop and the car coming the other way is understandably angry at the Peugeot driver’s actions.

The Peuegot then slides back behind the tipper van, back where it started in what has to be one of the worst overtake attempts.

There was no sympathy for the Peugeot driver in the comments.

charrbc said: “People like this have full driving licence and then theres me who’s failed 4 times bc i don’t check my mirrors before indicating.”
