Watch boxing legend Holyfield’s son get brutally knocked out by an electrician

BOXING legend Evander Holyfield’s son Evan was brutally knocked out by an electrician at last night’s Trillerverz 5 event.

The 24-year-old was the huge favourite heading into his six-round clash with Jurmain McDonald with his perfect 9-0 record.

Some bookies even had him priced as much as 1/100 – but the star suffered a shock defeat to the previously 6-5 fighter.

McDonald, 32, produced a spectacular overhand right in the second round that sent Holyfield crashing to the mat and out for the count.

And to make his win even more impressive, the fighter is actually an electrician by day.

He only fits his boxing training and gym work around his day job.

That’s the opposite to Holyfield, who has turned full-time pro to establish his own career.

But last night’s surprise upset will certainly be a major blow to his hopes of emulating his father and becoming a world champion.

However, he refused to be deterred from achieving his goals as he took to social media afterwards.

He wrote: “Blessed to be in good health, and that was good shot no cap! Hope I didn’t disappoint too many folk, but I promise I’ll make up for it. Definitely still have my sights on being world champion!”

Former cruiserweight and heavyweight champion Holyfield watched from ringside as Evan scored an emphatic knockout of his own back in October.

He stopped Charles Stanford in just the second round of their super-welterweight bout.

Evan first of all rocked Stanford with a vicious left hook before a booming overhand right sent the 35-year-old sprawling to the canvas.

The bout barely lasted a round, with Stanford savagely knocked out just 22 seconds into the second.

Holyfield, 59, made a bizarre return to the ring last year, although his comeback didn’t last long.

He was stopped by MMA legend Vitor Belfort in less than TWO minutes.
