Watch as driver overtakes more than 30 cars to avoid massive traffic queue

THIS is the shocking moment a driver overtakes a queue of more than 30 cars – while OBEYING the Highway Code.

Dashcam footage shows the car drive down a dual carriageway in the right hand lane, alongside traffic backed up in the left.

Poster @jobbertok shared the video with the caption “everyone is queuing for no reason, I’m turning left as well.”

The video shows him drive straight past the queue and turn in the same direction, branding the people in the queue ‘sheeple’.

According to the Highway Code, you can overtake if the road is sufficiently clear ahead of you.

Rule 137 states: “On a two-lane dual carriageway you should stay in the left-hand lane. Use the right-hand lane for overtaking or turning right. After overtaking, move back to the left-hand lane when it is safe to do so.”

The video has gone viral on social media with over 70k likes on TikTok.

One user comment said: “As someone learning, I actually think this is less a ‘sheeple’ problem, more to do with a lack of education”.

Others argue only locals would know that both lanes are able to turn left at the roundabout.

One said: “I am guilty of staying in the left lane sometimes, because I am not familiar with the road”.

This comes after a biker overtook miles of queueing traffic and said people didn’t understand the Highway Code.

Another Tiktok user recently posted a video of them overtaking 50 queueing cars.
