Watch as BMW ignores red lights before ploughing through intersection

THIS is the shocking moment a BMW ignores red lights before ploughing through an intersection – with its driver slammed for “flouting” road rules.

A fuming motorist shared dashcam footage of the “fine example of how not to drive”.

The clip shows the yellow BMW pulling up to the lights on Cadigan Street in Birmingham at around 5.30pm on Sunday.

Its driver strayed too far over the white line – before deciding to carry on anyway.

Cars can be seen coming into the intersection from the opposite direction as the BMW races through it.

The dashcam motorist said: “After the recent tragedies on our roads it still shocks me that people drive the way they do.

“When will people learn that they are driving a two-tonne killing machine if used incorrectly?

“Road rules are in place to keep people safe. Yet people flaunt them daily with total disregard for other road users and the public.”

Campaigners took to the streets of Birmingham earlier this month demanding action to tackle dangerous driving.

The protest was organised by Safe Streets Now, a coalition of community groups formed in response to a spate of deadly crashes.

West Midlands Police has launched Operation Triton, a dedicated initiative aimed at tackling dangerous driving and improving safety on roads.

The force conducts regular operations with a focus on reducing the number of fatalities and serious injuries.

A driver says his EV malfunctioned and locked him inside with no oxygen in boiling heat – leaving him desperately screaming for help.
