Watch as a man on a MOBILITY SCOOTER is spotted using a dual carriageway
A SHOCKING video has emerged showing a mobility scooter making its way along a dual carriage way.
The speed at which the camera passes is an indication of just how dangerous it is.
The video was uploaded to TikTok on the Inside Motors channel and is shot using a smartphone.
The person filming appears to be sat in the passenger seat of a van and according to the video description, the van is joining the M57 near Liverpool.
As the van drives down the slip road you can make out something further along the road that shouldn’t be there.
As the van gets closer it becomes clear it’s a man on a mobility scooter moving very slowly.
The van overtakes the mobility scooter and the contrast in speed is frightening when you consider what could happen if the man is hit.
There are different types of mobility scooter, some of which can be used on the road in the right circumstances.

However, according the government website: ‘these vehicles MUST NOT be used on motorways.
‘They should not be used on unrestricted dual carriageways where the speed limit exceeds 50 mph but if they are used on these dual carriageways, they MUST have a flashing amber beacon.
The chap in the mobility scooter doesn’t seem to know about the amber beacon though, and looks relaxed in a vest and Panama hat.
People couldn’t believe their eyes and took to the comments to show their disbelief.
One said: “When your nearest Wetherspoons is 4 miles.”
While another quipped: “I feel the need… the need for speed????????????”
