Wallabies rocked by late Cooper curveball
The Wallabies have been hit hard by Quade Cooper’s scratching just minutes before their opening match against England.
The five-eighth pulled up just prior to the commencement of play at Optus Stadium in Perth with a calf issue.
Noah Lolesio has subsequently replaced Cooper in the No.10 jersey while James O’Connor has been drafted out of a suit from a pre-match function and onto the bench.

“It changes everything because Noah would have had limited reps (at training),” former Wallaby Morgan Turinui said on Nine and Stan Sport’s coverage.
“It looked like a lower calf strain.”
“An incredible story developing,” added host Nick McArdle.
Nine then reported that it was “calf awareness” that kept Cooper off the field, rather than an injury as such.
Sonny Bill Williams was seen consoling his good friend in the changing sheds.
