VOLVO drivers make the best lovers, a survey claims — getting revved up for an average of 17 minutes a time.

But BMW owners are the biggest anti-climax, grinding to a halt after just 180 seconds.

The research found Volvo drivers, who include ladies man Leonardo DiCaprio, have the most sexual stamina, followed by Toyota fellas (14 minutes).

BMW men came last at three minutes, spluttering behind Skoda guys (five).

It came as no surprise to Craig Harrison, 41, an IT consultant from West Sussex.

He said: “My first car was a Volvo S60.

“Girls weren’t impressed with it — but they were quite impressed with me!”

Surveyor Donald Potter, 30, of St Albans, Herts, said his BMW 3 Series was a “status symbol” not a “sex symbol”.

He said: ‘I love my 3 Series – but I see it more as a status symbol rather than a sex symbol or an advert for my virility and manliness.”

Dating site Illicit Encounters, which polled 2,000 women, said: “Men driving BMWs seem to have a need for speed even in the bedroom, while those behind the wheel of a Volvo take a more leisurely and enduring approach.

“It’s important to remember that great sex is about so much more than just the wheels you roll on.”
