1. It’s great value

The Jogger is the best value seven-seat car on sale in the UK, starting from just £16,645 for the Essential model and just £2,100 extra for the Extreme SE.

Yet it neither looks nor feels cheap.

It’s well built, well designed and handles superbly.

2. The seating is strategic

With three full rows of seating, the Jogger can easily accommodate seven adults.

The split-folding seats have plenty of knee room and can be arranged into 60 different configurations.

There’s no hunching either with generous headroom and easy access to the third row. Need more space? Simply remove the back seats.

3. Storage is savvy

The boot has 160 litres of storage with all seats in place, rising to 708 with the third row folded down, or 1,807 with row three removed and two folded down.

There are also four lashing rings, three load hooks and elastic straps to hold everything safely and securely.

4. Did we mention storage?

The Jogger is a container ship for the roads, with a suitcase-sized 7-litre glove box, backed up by front and rear door pockets capable of holding a 1-litre bottle.

And there’s another 1.3-litre lidded storage bin within the centre console plus six cup holders for drinks.

Row two seats also have fold-down tray tables.

5. It’s a media maestro

All media options are covered thanks to a central smartphone docking system and Dacia’s free media app.

Navigation, radio, music, phone and vehicle info are just a touch away or accessed through the phone’s voice recognition function.

The system can be upgraded with an 8-inch dashboard touchscreen, wifi connectivity plus two more speakers and twin USB ports.

6. It puts safety first

All models feature six airbags, including curtain and side airbags.

There’s also a suite of driver assistance systems available: Emergency Brake Assist to help prevent collisions.

Blind Spot Warning (on Expression and Extreme versions) to prevent a collision with another vehicle concealed from view and Park Assist to stop the car rolling backwards on a hill.

Electronic Stability Control to correct oversteer; Cruise Control to set and maintain a regular speed and monitor changes in other vehicles.

7. You can rearrange the roof
