Valorant Community Has an Interesting Suggestion for a New but Familiar Game Mode
Valorant fans would agree that developers Riot Games have smashed it out of the park when it comes to developing an insane competitive experience on the popular FPS title.
However, at the same time, the developers have showcased a lackluster effort towards building an equally enjoyable casual experience for players who don’t play the game for long stretches of time.
In the competitive 5v5 mode, the developers have created a pretty well-balanced game even though it suffers from issues such as meta weapons and Agents that can annihilate opponents easily.
However, modes such as Spike Rush haven’t caught the attention of the casual player base, and they have to adjust to playing 5v5 Unrated instead of the competitive playlist.
Additionally, unlike its fierce rival in CS: GO, the developers at Riot Games haven’t been able to find a footing with a popular FPS game mode like Deathmatch, and fans have been pretty disappointed to see them ignore modes like this in favor of the competitive 5v5 mode.
In a recent Reddit post, a Redditor even went on a mini rant about the state of the game’s casual modes. However, the post also included a brilliant suggestion on what the developers at Riot Games can do to improve the casual experience in Valorant.
According to the Redditor in question, the popular FPS title desperately needs a mode like Retakes to remain in the game’s queue permanently.
The mode was introduced a couple of years ago in CS: GO. In Retakes, three T’s have to defend a planted bomb against four CT’s, and with the clock ticking down pretty quickly, the mode provides some of the best fast-paced action in the FPS genre.
Retakes has been a hit on CS: GO, and the community believes that the same could happen in Valorant if Riot Games can execute it properly. With a fast-paced mode, players can hone their skills at the game without having to play 5v5 all the time.
Moreover, the playlist will also include players at every skill level possible where could take the foot of the gas and have some fun, without having to worry about sweats.
The casual playlist in Valorant is a mess right now. However, with the addition of a game mode like Retakes, Riot Games can create a spark that can change the landscape of the casual player experience in the game.
