USA vs. France live score, updates, highlights from 2021 Olympic basketball gold-medal game

In order to capture the gold medal, the U.S. men’s basketball team will have to take down the only opponent that has managed to hand the Americans a loss in this year’s Olympic tournament.

Team USA will face France on Friday in a rematch of the opening game of the group-play stage. Evan Fournier led the way for France in that contest, scoring 28 points on 11-of-22 shooting in an 83-76 victory.

After that disappointing performance, Team USA ran through Iran, the Czech Republic, Spain and Australia to reach the finals. The Americans are now one win away from a fourth straight gold medal, but they know this will be their toughest test to date.
